One fateful day, a pit-bull and a chow had puppies one of which was Max, the greatest dog that ever lived. MAX was introduced to the Terry family (family of Ms. Jessica Terry). They instantly fell in love with him and adopted him. They trained him and cared for him.
After a while, Max knew when it was time to eat, time to play, and time to be serious. Ms. Terry’s father took him under his wings and taught him how to sit, stay, and behave. As Max grew older, he became fond of the Terrys and because of that he was very protective. Max didn’t let other dogs play with the girls because he considered other people as threats.
On one occasion Ms. Terry and her sister, Brianna, were walking to school when three Rottweilers had the urge to attack them. Overflowing with adrenaline, Ms. Terry let go of Max and he fought the dogs off until they ran away. As well as being protective he was sweet. “When I went to bed he used to sleep with me,” Ms. Terry remembers. He loved and respected the family and never wanted to do anything to hurt them.
There was an unfortunate time when Max was on a picnic with the family. He got into a fight with other dogs. When Ms. Terry’s dad tried to break it up, Max accidentally bit the dad. When Max realized what he had done, he cowered back in shame because he had hurt his family. To the Terrys, Max was protective, smart, strong, but most of all loving.
Max died at sixteen years old, one hundred twelve in human years. It was a sad time for all the Terrys, but Max will never be forgotten and will forever live in their hearts.
