ISAIAH 61:1

The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.

Some seniors on the Lady Spartan basketball team  have decided to return on the mission trip to Haiti. To make it possible for several other members on the team to go and to reduce their own costs for the trip, the teammates came up with several ideas.

One of the ideas is a basketball clinic. On October 17 from ten a.m. to three p.m., several members of the Lady Spartans basketball team will host a basketball clinic for eight to fourteen-year-old boys and girls in the Bradford Gym. All proceeds will go toward the cost of the Haiti mission trip. Contact the high school, junior high, or elementary school office for more information.

It’s a win-win situation! The young basketball players have a great experience, the Lady Spartans earn money to fund their mission trips, and the people of Haiti are visited by one of the school’s mission teams. Students making a difference.
